I have been a class teacher for more than ten years, and I never thought I would win an award for it. After all, it is just an ordinary position. The work can seem monotonous, involving establishing classroom order, creating a positive class atmosphere, guiding students' emotions, and promoting their growth. Every class has a head teacher, and every head teacher handles similar responsibilities. However, upon closer inspection, each has their own style and methods that make every student’s life extraordinary.
I don’t consider myself a particularly proactive or lively person. I tend to be a bit restrained and find it challenging to fully integrate with my students and have fun. Initially, I thought students would keep their distance from me, and we wouldn't truly get to know each other. However, over the years, I have found that students gradually come closer to me. Perhaps they don’t just need fun; they also seek attention, understanding, and sincerity from others.
I enjoy buying small gifts during festivals. Even though I feel awkward when others thank me, I hope they can feel the festive atmosphere. I always try to bring back something for them when I travel, even if they might just discard it; I want them to know that someone remembers them. I also like to share my life experiences and insights, even if they find it nagging; I hope it helps them become better people. I strive to be a class teacher who walks silently alongside them.
This job may be tedious, but watching them grow and seeing their smiles is my most satisfying reward.
